Panera Should have a Warning Label

Princess has told me several times about old people targetting her at Panera to ramble on and on. Yesterday, I experienced this first hand. It was my lunch break yesterday, the place - Panera. The setting, me in a booth, alone with a book. An old, old man walked up and wanted first to talk about my book. He wanted all of the details of my book, but because I was on chapter 2 and didnt know any, I tried to end the conversation there. So, intentlly trying to read, he didnt get the hint. I heard about how the JFK aircraft carrier was going to be shut down because Naval Officers did not maintain it properly. Then, he decided instead of it being because of the officers, it was because "that ASSSSSSSS Bush" wants an aircraft carrier named the George Bush. FINALLY, my buzzer goes off for my food. I thought this was my saving grace. I came back to the table, learned that he was happy I was eating turkey not pork. He said that pork would make me ugly. Then, he wanted to explain that if "that PRYYYYY-meeeer" from Israel dies, we are going to war and we dont need a carrier named "George Bush". Finally, he asks me if I have ever studied the Bible. Being raised in the church, I say yes. But, this means I am getting questioned. He asks "What did Jesus prophesize?" Then he went on and on about plagues, natural disasters, and the end of the world. It finally ended with him having an appointment to go to. It was awful. So, this is a public service announcement...BEWARE of going to Panera alone. :) Wow...

Dreamer's Friday Triple Header - Public Service Announcement, Photo Hunt Friiiiiday, and Idol Comments

Happy Friday. Top of the page, that is part of the blog is my public service announcement. I know this is Paul Harvey-esque, but it's true...this stuff rocks. I was introduced to it by a wise man, and now I am hooked. The toothpaste is like a party in your mouth. Try it. It keeps your breath fresh and makes you feel like you have had a deep cleaning. You'll find yourself saying "Ahhhhhhh" after each use. Aquafresh Extreme Clean ROCKS!!!!

OK. Next part. Photo Hunt FriiiiiiIIIIiiiidaaaay. (that is the theme music that I wrote myself!) The way the photohunt game goes, check out the pics, write down the 5 differences between the two pictures and in the comment section put your results. This is tracking who is playing and getting feedback on this Friday favorite:).

Finally, Idol. EwwwwwOOOOhhhOOOOhhhhooowwww. Stinky Stevie is out though she sounded better last night than her performance on Tuesday. Ugly Kevin is in. There is a society of people for rights of ugly people or something that is helping that fool out. Heather Sucks is still in. I had a dream last night that she was actually Jenny McCarthy under cover. I know that is random... but it may be true. I am not sad about the choices last night. Wish I didnt have to watch ugly Kevin anymore, but his time is coming.

That's it. Have a great Friday.

It's only Thursday...

Greetings readers...or just Patti:). I am not feeling up to par today, so my review and blog may not be too long or witty. American Idol is good. The season has gotten off to a great start. Kevin...the strange looking little guy...has got to go. God bless him, but LORD, he is horrible looking. It ain't just about the voice! We know that from my future baby's daddy...Ace. That man could sing opera and I would be a fan. WHOOO HOOO!! The girls in the office like that Hicks guy from Bama with gray hair. I am not a fan. I think he is irritating. I am in the minority on that one.

On a personal note, the realtor came over last night and I signed the contract. Hopefully we get the joint sold soon:)! And for the asking price. And as is.

OK, I am sick. Dont want to write anymore today...watch the elimination show tonight for American Idol. Say goodbye to the weird looking Kevin and Heather Sucks.

The Dreamer's IDOL REVIEW RETURNSSSSSS

Ewwwwwwwwww OOOOOOooooOOOOOOOOOOOWwwwwww...(theme music for those who just joined my blog). Declaring my winner now...for real. Paris Bennett. That's it. If she doesn't win, it is a conspiracy. I will also say that Heather Cox is more like Heather Sucks and Stevie is Stinky. AND, I do NOT like the girl with attitude. Lisa Tucker, who I call Lisa Turtle because she looks like the chick from Saved By the Bell. She is going to be in for the long run too. So, anyway, the show was good, I am back in the saddle for watching. I want to say that Paris is the bomb though...mark my words. During the commercial breaks, I watched the olympics. Shani Davis, the speed skater, is an ass. That is about all I want to say about that - it wouldnt have hurt my feelings if he false started again last night and got DQed. I am loving the women's figure skating, Kimmie was so cute. After the short program, USA is in the lead. The rest of the competition is tonight. I am ready for the olympics to be done actually. I am missing Earl and The Office. My review will be truncated tomorrow because I am meeting with the relator tonight @ to get her to sell the house. I am already over the buy owner thing. Surprise Surprise. EwwwwooooOOooo. DnnnDunnnnnnnDUDUDUDUDUduhduhduhduhduhhhhdudu
UUUDDUDUDUDDUDUDUHHHH (That was American Idol mixed with the Olympic music.)

New Hair

OK - IGNORE this being Britney Hoe Spears...but the hair is what I am looking at. My hair is getting long, but the longer it gets the more frumpy I feel. AND, it is taking too long to dry, AND it seems to just not grow as quickly as I want. The last time I got my hair cut - 2 years ago, I ended up with a mullet. So, it is time for a change again. When I have big life changes, I feel the need to cut my hair. A recent breakup and selling the house is what is prompting this change. So, I want it to look like Britney's here, and that dark. That is actually my natural color. I just pretend to still be blonde like I was when I was a wee lass.

I would like some feedback on this decision...the appt is March 4 to get the change done. Also, keep in mind, my face is rounder than it once was! :)

Happy MONDAY!!

Happy Monday Y'all! This weekend was good. 2 good weekends in a row! Whoooo Hoooooo! This weekend, I ate at Mellow Mushroom, rode down the beach on a motorcycle, hung out at Lynch's Irish Pub, finished getting the house ready to sell, led a sing-a-long at the bar at Outback Steakhouse, played games with Granny and fam, hung out with Mr. Pants and just had a good weekend. No bites on the house yet, but at least it is up for sale!!

So, life is chugging along. No news really. Tonight, the girls and I are going to a jazz club. I will post a pic this week from it. It will be fun. Apparently, I want to dress up more than I am supposed to...but who knows I may just show up in sequins anyway. Sparkly:)

Ok. Hope all are well...all of you out of towners should come see me soon. Franny, I promise I will make my way west one of these days!

The Lessons I Have Learned in Life

I am reflecting today on the things that I have learned in my life. This one I learned last night- My brother has the power to break a kids helmet, give him a concussion, and it is still a fair hit in Lacrosse. Here is the rest of the lessons I have learned: As much as I want to be the size I was when I was 16, I am 26 and it just ain't happening!. Everything happens for a reason...even if it hurts while it is happening. Money is not what is most important in a job...it is the fun and passion you have for what you do. Family will love you even on your ugliest days. Good friends are hard to come by, but once you find them, they're hard to get rid of:). Cigars and whisky will let you taste it for a full 4 days after combination. No distance is too great for love, friendship, or family. Once a snowman is built...that sucker is hard and hurts to attack. Wanting to be accepted by someone who doesnt even accept themselves is a battle destined to be lost. It's not the dead people you have to worry about, it is the alive one's that will get you. Being thankful is key to eliminating a prison of self-pity. (that one was deep.) I really hate the texture of refried beans and calamari...not together...but they both are nasty. My parents are usually right, even when the truth sucks. Generally, relationships rock at the beginning, until you meet who you are really with - not as pretty. It is possible to wear out a yellow lab. (learned that one yesterday) Speak softly and carry a big stick - OK that one isnt mine:). Well, I gotta get to work. If you have any other words of wisdom...comment:)

The Dreamer's Rockin Weekend

What a fun weekend this was. Jodi's party was great fun...kind of a heehaw meets the art crowd thing...weird but it worked. It was cool.

See the pic for some of the fun:)

The comedy show on Saturday was super duper too. All the way around it was a great weekend.

I will say that I am feeling badly for that poor Michelle Kwan having to back out of the Olympics. That is tough.

Hope all of you are well!! Hope you are warmer than our chilly 30 degrees this morning!

The Dreamer's Update

Thought I would update on me today...my favorite subject. I am finally seeing some weight loss. My size 4s are getting to be a better fit and I dont have the tummy roll anymore. That is helping with the confidence level. Valentine's Day is arriving next week and I find myself a little lonely. Though, this will not be a pity party.

This weekend is going to be a fun one. Jodi is in town from LA and we are having a party tonight. Good times. She was my most wild friend in high school and I actually havent seen her since '01. I love reunions. Tomorrow night, I am going to see DL Hughley - comedian - at UNF. My friend and fellow alum Tall Matt and I will be meeting up for the big event. There will be quite a crowd and a bunch of my friends there. I love things like that too. So, basically, life will be fun this weekend. I am hoping this is the last weekend before I sell the house...probably not because my dog just chewed a large hole in my kitchen FLOOR this morning, but I am hopeful that I can put the thing up for sale soon. I am trying to decide on whether or not to use a realtor (spelling?). Any thoughts??

So, life is good. Things are moving along quite well, and I am excited about what the next week has in store.

Janet and Justin set the Bar

Ever since Janet and Justin had their wardrobe malfunction 2 years ago for SuperBowl, the entertainment has not quite been up to par. I think the NFL is looking for "safe" acts, but can they find acts that do not put audiences to sleep or cause for a temporary break in viewing. The pre-game and half-time entertainment should really be called "bathroom and snack break time". Seriously. Last year, Paul McCartney was okay...I will admit I would attend a concert, but for SuperBowl? This year, an aging belly-bearing Mick Jagger. Not impressed. Should I even go to the pre-game show for this Super Bowl? Stevie Wonder and the other folks trying to do a harmonizing that made even Stevie wish he was deaf and not blind. Seriously. And, then to top it off, Aaron Neville and his facial Mike Tyson tattoo attempted to sing the National Anthem. If you really looked at the player's faces, they were hurtin from it too. Aretha saved the day though. Good for her.

As for the game, I was cheering for the Steelers, but I will say that I don't think the quarterback questionable touchdown was in. I would have reversed the play on the field - BUT Hey! Whatever. That's why I dont get to wear the stripes...and they dont wear glasses:). HA HA.

Finally, the commercials. I have 2 favorites and one disgust. The first favorite is the Sierra Mist Kathy Griffin airport one with her making the beeping noise. She is a trip. The second favorite I had was the sheep streaker. That was hilarious. I was the only one at my folk's house rolling on that one...but it was damned funny. I will also give honorable mention to the roof Bud Light time commercial. That was funny. The disgusting commercial was Jessica Simpson and her pedifile popping food into that kid's mouth commercial. Her raspy Pizza Hut commercial was like a seducing children ad. It was gross. Gross.

Ok. So, that is the Dreamer's Super Bowl review. Hope you enjoyed it Franny:).

The Dreamer's Vices

OK. I think I have some things that I may obsess about. Ok. I know I have things I obsess about and can't give up. The one thing I am thinking about today is Coke - as in Coca Cola. I saw my fat growing this morning and then before I even got in the car to go to work - I DRANK A COKE. I bought those 6 ounce cans so it isnt as bad. Why can't I not drink coke? It is stupid. I know I am getting "rounder" as my dad says, but can I quit drinking coke? No. It is like the picture here...a coke GUN:)

This weekend is Super Bowl weekend. I really don't even care about the game this year. I was pulling for the Colts after the Jags were eliminated, but hey! whatever.

I will say that there is a girl in my office right now that is doing some hiring paperwork. She has the game Phase 10 in her purse. Yet another obsession I have - winning at Phase 10. If anyone hasnt played that damned game - YOU need to. I wish my Josh lived here, we would play other people all the time and we would be on the news and stuff as the Florida Phase 10 Champs. OR at least we would beat both Rod and Erika AND Jacob and Jenn. Y'all dont want any of me and Josh! One day. One day.

OK. That's it for now. Happy Friday. Have a safe weekend.
