The Dreamer's Proud Moment

My brother set a Nease High School first yesterday when he had his official NCAA signing to play lacrosse at Belmont Abbey. A catholic school, for my non catholic brother...another blog altogether. Rob was the first and only at this point student from the school to be recruited to play at the college level, and I couldnt be prouder. He signed in front of about 200 people at his school yesterday. He was so cute up there. He gave a speech including a special dedication to his sister where he said "Thank you to my sister, my loudest fan and the only person I know who will rip a referee limb from limb." Nice. At least he thought of me:). So, point of this blog is...I am so proud of him. He's going to school, got scholarships and can play his heart out.

CSI Fort Lauderdale

Here’s how it goes. When one thinks about Ft. Lauderdale, you think palm trees, beautiful water, tanned people, luxury, margaritas…you know…the works. This all is true, but the rest of our experience in Ft. Lauderdale was at the least amusing. This blog will be the tale of our fun in Ft. Lauderdale last week. The main players in this game will be me, Chandra, Erica (not the f-a-halle), and Robert (not my brother, but the musician/swimmer/Randstad employee). We arrived at the LaQuinta Inn one beautiful Tuesday afternoon. Everywhere in La Quinta, it tells you, “LaQuinta is Spanish for…” The rest is usually hospitality or family or something with good connotation to the hotel industry. For us, LaQuinta was Spanish for CSI Ft. Lauderdale. See Exhibit 1, our hotel room door. Yes, it was crowbar jimmied open at one time, and instead of fixing the stinkin door, they painted over the damage. You could just see the chalk outline on the ground there. We entered to find the handicap room which had a showerhead over the floor, no shower, but whatever, and it hit Erica around her bellybutton, so we requested a room change. Robert, or Bob, as I will now refer to him as, had also requested a room change and then got ours when we moved to a better location. Another room with our group had a “sprinkler malfunction”, saturated their clothes. Beautiful. The rest of the story was fun, lizards at breakfast, a random green bean served to Bob, Tartar Sauce instead of butter for our bread, chairs stained with GOD knows what, good times. Please click on each word for a photo documentary of each event. It REALLY was a good time over all, it just made for a fun blog, so the fun blog you now read.

Preview for next blog…my love for coca cola.

Dreamer Getting Better on Blogging

As a dreamer update: my house is still up for sale, I am still fat, still adore my dog, not dating the many I was before - narrowed it down to Chris (Josh thinks blogging him may jinx it, but I will take the chance), I am still working, still laughing, still living life. Last weekend I went to see the Black Eyed Peas, and to answer the question I was asked, Fergie did not look pregnant, she work a horrific outfit with her midrift showing and all seemed disgustingly flat. Beeeatch. Last week during work, I went to Ft. Lauderdale. I am awaiting some pics from Erica for the blog that will highlight some of the fun in that trip. Believe me, for me and those attending, it would be a crime to not dedicate an entire blog to Ft. Lauderdale...or CSI Ft. Lauderdale as I would like to call it...so stay tuned for that one.

This weekend, I went bowling, cleaned, played spades with the 'rents, ate a lot, you know...the usual weekend. I am getting ready for an open house for my jewellry and photography on May 7, so get ready for that...all in J-ville are invited to join me and support my cause...Tracey, tell your momma!

Today's feature picture is me and my Chris.

Happy Monday. Someone looks like they have a case of the Mondaaaays! QUICK - name that movie! ALSO, you beeatches need to comment or something. I know there is a reader base because I get flack for not writing, but seriously throw me a stinkin bone!

Will the Real Miles Jaye Please Stand Up!

First of all, readers, and Tracey, I am sorry for the delay in writing a blog. I will get better about it or I know I will lose interest in my antics! This one is Miles Jaye Day at Randstad. We wanted to hire the real dude to come in and sing for Erika, but it didnt work out. Instead, Raquel serenaded us with "Ive Been a Fool". She did her job as Miles Jaye for 2 full hours before Erika arrived for her surprise. She was equipped with the signature red violin, which I constructed from cardboard.

There is at least one more blog to come...maybe this afternoon to make up for my absence. The topic: Black Eyed Peas and New Man. Discuss. (Old Coffee Talk SNL play off). Anyway...gotta work for now, but I will be back! (Terminator). Damn, I am on a roll! Tracey, hope this wets your palate for now! HollllA!!!

The Dreamer's Ode to the Fake Ass Halle Berry

This Blog goes out to my Girl, Erika...the Fake Ass Halle Berry. She was my partner/boss...now she is my homegirl through and through. She has changed offices, but she is still here in our hearts. I would like to share some of the things that I have learned from Ms. Berry. She is a wealth of knowledge I tell ya! She taught me that it isnt dead people you have to worry about, it is the live ones that will get you. She helped me understand the dangers of AIDS and informed me of EVERYONE I know that may have died from it. (no she is not infected). Through her grandma, I learned that all you need in life is Jesus and Good White Folk AND if it's free, take THREE! I learned that when the Holy Ghost gets ahold of you, sometimes you eat the ground in a fit of running. I learned from Erika how to calm down a little bit and think more than I react. OK - that is all for serious ones - thought one would be appropriate. I also learned that flat shoes are not as flattering as some high azz heels. I have learned that it is quite important to check UNDER your desk before sitting in case a Fake Ass Halle Berry is under it ready to pounce...there is another scary place but we have one more person to get on that one...so we will leave it unsaid. I learned that you cant be your kids friends, and to demand their respect. I have also learned that a beautiful woman can have a beautiful heart too - I usually discriminate against beauty:). I have learned from Erika several ways to hang up on someone, i.e. "you have a closet there? well, hang this up". I have learned that Erika's real daddy was a dentist...that girl has a LOT of teeth. :)...mean teeth and all. If anyone else who knows this chick learned any lessons...please feel free to comment...
